Some random thoughts

Music is one of the "clasic topics" that we haven't approuch yet, and in my case, there is too much to say.
Music by itself, started first as a cultural discovery, have become one of that "elements" already too much interiorized in our lives and in our psychologies that simply we, as a "advanced beings", cannot imagine a world without it. As a principal reason, because the music is a perfect way to express our feelings, our beliefs, our perspectives, our way to see the world that arounding us, our way to connect with it. In few words, it describes and exemplify perfectly that sort of things that make the human a singularity in nature.
As a complex cultural element, isnt necessary to say that music have evolved and been remodeled at the rhythm of the society changes. Like language or writing, we are able to say that for each ethnic group, we can find a different way to understand and apply the music.

Without extending too much, in my case, my way to enjoy the music is strongly connected with my mood. But it result a luck if we consider that i really enjoy a long spectrum of music genres, obviously i have my favourites: pop (the genre most linked with our way to live as a modern society) and rock (principally by inherited likes from my dad). But also i enjoy the metal genre (that i consider the perfect way to "expel" pure adrenaline hah); electronic genre (or "shake-the-head" genre); salsa, cumbia, and many of the latin genres derivated from afro-americans like jazz genre or blues genre; rap (very subversive and enjoyable at the same time) or even country genre (very relaxing, great mix of instruments and great vocal works).
Simply i cannot conceive to living only hearing a little group of genres with a infinite universe of options out there.

What about you? What are your favourite music choices

Last reading

Lately, i haven't reading something specifically special, all my focus revolve around in academic texts that belong to my career, but i remember a book that i started to read a couple of months ago, a book that sadly i could not resume again recently: “It” by Stephen King.
“It” belongs to the terror/thriller genre and was my first introduction to Stephen King in general, but not necessarily my induction to the genre because i read previously some stories from H.P. Lovecraft and Edgar Allan Poe and i have to say that i love and apreciate too much their style of story-telling, but specifically, their way of create the perfect atmosphere of suspense without being too much dense or complicated in descriptions or situations.
Returning to the topic, the short time reading “It” was very satisfying, the story-telling is very simple, but effective. The author explain very well the general context of the main story, write some very interesting secondary characters and specially a very frightfur and enjoyable antagonist: the famous clown known generally as Pennywise.
Concerning to the main theme in short therms, “It” tell us the story of a group of a carismatic childrens who end involved into the game of a rising menace, but a menace too much older, deeper and relevant for them and the history of their town, Derry, that they think. A terrifying meeting that will mark them for the rest of their lives.

"Knight-of-the-night"

Recently i am started to enjoy the "night trips", or in other words, that kind of casual night walks when you can take the opportunity to free yourself from the rutine and the stress. Especially the weight that imply to live in a short house with too much people... (Well that is a bit exaggerated if we only consider “a lost guy” living with his mother and his 2 beloved brothers hah).

Returning to the point, i usually love this kind of trips, that trips where instead of walk beyond the horizon and know that places that only you can see or imagine through the TV, you can simply go around through your town or your neighborhood any night and enjoy the plainness of the life. Breath the peace of an asleep and silent town, feel the soft night-wind in your face or see the magnificence and insignificance of the existence through the beauty of a sky full of stars (At least the ones that are already visible sadly…) All of that meanwhile you go to buy the bread or you go to walk around with your pets ... All those things that only a travel through the darkness can offer.

What about you?

In this case, i definitely declare myself a defender of the simply things, a paladin for the insignificant experiences, a knight-of-the-night.

National Holidays

The last worthy national holidays that i remember were in some place located in the rural zones near to Valparaiso, fifth region. Like 2 years ago
There was a giant fonda with a high number of stands for national foods in the left zone (like choripanes, terremotos or empanadas), a considerable number of places dedicated to sell local craftwork in the right zone, a little place in the back zone where the kids can play and in the centre was a big scenario where the local musics keeps playing traditional songs (with one or another surprising guest… I remember specially that a very known periodist of Canal 13 was invited, but ironically I don’t remember his name hahah).
I went with my both parents, both brothers, three of my cousins and their parents.
In my case, I dedicated my time almost entirely to staying with my little brother and my little cousin while we listened the huasos singing and dancing in the scenario, occasionally accompanied for us with one or another piece of dance if the song was known.

Nothing too impresive for other ones hah, but is a very nice memory for me at least in the last years, specially because it introduced me to the wonderful world of the "terremotos" hah
